Submit your

observing proposal

TTT is a private infrastructure devoted to excellence in astronomy and space exploration. TTT collaborates with science institutions worldwide, allowing them to temporally acquire ownership of the telescopes’ observing time and the scientific images obtained.

At the heart of this new public-private partnership model is the term “DTO”—an acronym in Spanish for “Derecho de Tiempo de Observación”, or “Observing Time Right”. One DTO is equivalent to one hour of programmed robotic observation.

The primary criterion for accessing TTT is the scientific merit of the professional proposal. Once approved, you can acquire DTO at TTT.

There are three elements that set the TTT apart, streamlining your experience as a professional astronomer:

1

FAST TRACKING

We pledge to assess your scientific proposal within 48 hours. Once approved, you can conduct your observations and, if the observation is successful, retrieve your data remarkably quickly—in some cases, even within 24 hours. Our artificial intelligence system determines the optimal moment to observe the cosmic events submitted by the DTO owner. The technical-scientific optimization criteria have been established considering factors like the proposal’s scientific value and real-time atmospheric conditions.

2

SECURE YOUR OBSERVATIONS FOR UP TO 6 YEARS

Another feature that sets TTT apart from other facilities is the ability to schedule multi-year projects, as it allows for the acquisition of DTO and securing observation time for up to 6 years.

3

EASE OF USE

There’s no need to spend time on the technical intricacies of operating the telescope; most processes are automated.

Just let us know what and how you wish to observe via a user-friendly and intuitive interface, and, if the observation is successful, we’ll deliver your data promptly (FITS).
